Who we are

We love what we do and thoroughly enjoy the creativity that goes into the planning of each and every event. The combination of creativity, superior service, passion and skill make a catered event a memorable occasion. Owner, Terry Eberle and Chef, Nick Beament have worked together for over 20 years. Their talents with the use of locally sourced and sustainable foods will create an event that is uniquely yours.


Terry Eberle, Owner

I am Italian… I grew up eating!

I do not have a culinary background but I have always had a great love for food. In 1986, having completed twenty-five years of a nursing career I changed directions. After cooking for my fellow picketers in a “strike-line” I stepped up to the plate and went into the catering business. In 1996 I became the proud owner of CaterMarin.

I so delight in stylishly presenting clients with wonderful, delicious food. My goal is to see that every client receives the personal attention that they not only expect but also deserve.


Nick Beament, Executive Chef

Third generation cook…… First generation chef!

After years of being in the kitchen with my grandfather and mother I found that I really enjoyed learning about the many ways of food preparation.


In 1998 CaterMarin employed me as a dishwasher and preparation cook. It was during this time I realized that I wanted to pursue the science of food and in 2001 graduated from the California Culinary Academy. Following my graduation from the Academy I was advanced to CaterMarin’s Executive Chef.


I am a person of integrity and believe deeply in treating others, as I want to be treated. I carry this philosophy to my three children. Nothing is asked of an employee that I am not willing to do myself. I see all co-workers as an equal, and as a result

we have proudly executed events from 25 to 3000 guests.

We had my daughters bat mitzvah at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club last weekend. Well I always love the event site, so much of what makes or breaks in event is the catering. From the moment I worked with Terry, she was smart, easy, and completely accommodating in every way. She knows her business, and her staff at our event was respectful, professional, and incredibly nice and helpful. The food was outstanding! I would highly recommend Terry and her people for any special event.

Wanted to add that Terry is way beyond a caterer. We didn't have a planner so an experienced caterer is really important. One week before wedding, we asked her to have ceremony and dinner at the same venue. She basically used only one hour to change the venue set up. She is on top of everything and is easy to work with, perfect for people who have limited time. Will definitely highly recommend CaterMarin for your events!

Terry was quick to respond to all inquiries via telephone and email. After asking me a few questions, she sent me some sample menus which were right along the lines of what I wanted. I mentioned that my mother wanted Swedish meatballs and Terry offered to make them using my mother's recipe which is so nice.

Terry made some excellent suggestions regarding set-up and linens and helped me manage the stress over the constantly changing headcount.
The food she prepared was delicious with options for gluten-free, and vegan as needed. (I wish I would have taken some photos.) I highly recommend the mushroom strudel!


In addition, Terry managed set up and clean up at the Marin Art and Garden Center. We did not have to lift a finger. Would not hesitate to use CaterMarin in the future.

I think the best thing about the whole experience was planning with Terry. She is extremely organized and professional - an absolute pleasure to work with. There are about a million tiny decisions that need to be made when planning a wedding and Terry helped make sure every detail of the catering would go as planned. For example, she even had the forethought to ask if we wanted her team to have a plate of appetizers ready for my wife and me right after the ceremony so we could get a bite to eat before taking photos..

We had our wedding at Outdoor Art Club, and after several food tastings from their approved catering list, we decided to go with CaterMarin. Their food is great, we hit it off with Terry right away, and the thing that really sealed the deal for us was that we ended up not needing to spend money on a wedding coordinator, since Terry goes above and beyond to help with planning and keeping things on track the day of. During our onsite visit to the venue a month or so before the wedding, she helped us nail down our timeline, layout, and rentals, which was super helpful. My wedding party and guests kept complimenting us on how great the food and service were. Would highly recommend CaterMarin!

Small things like putting a few appetizers and 2 glasses of wine in our bride/groom room (where we escaped based on Terry's recommendation after the ceremony), and providing two full meals for us to take home (which we enjoyed the next day since we are not one of those couples that was too busy to eat at our own wedding) were special touches that really meant a lot to us.

Terry did much more than I expected from a caterer, but it was everything we needed for our simple but planner-less wedding. Her expertise, experience, and awesome attitude will get you through any hiccup (and the hiccups that she doesn't even tell you about).

I cannot imagine having ANY gathering involving food service without the fantastic crew of CaterMarin

Let's start with Chef Nick who is simply the best!  Everything he prepares far exceeds ones expectations, not just with taste but also in presentation.  
Then the wonderful catering staff who work so well together and respond so readily to everyone's needs.

Finally, Terry, CaterMarin's owner - Once I have given her the YES to cater my annual picnics and parties, I simply let go.  She takes over and turns the complete event into an amazing affair.  The foods are beyond describing, they are always so delicious.  I love planning these affairs with her as she and her team are totally into giving their best.
